Tuition price is effective Oct. 1, 2008. The Motion Picture Production Program requires a $1,500.00 deposit to secure a seat in the program. This deposit is applied to the overall tuition detailed above.

Enrollment Information

The following documentation must be received and reviewed by the MPI director of admissions prior to enrollment.

  1. A copy of this application.
  2. A copy of your high school, GED equivalent or college diploma.
  3. Writing sample: Five to ten page essay (double spaced) - on your plans for the next five years or a creative writing sample (can be part of a screenplay).
  4. The non-refundable application fee of $25.00.

After your application and required documents are reviewed you will be notified in writing of your enrollment status within 2 weeks. Upon acceptance for enrollment, a copy of the enrollment agreement will be sent to you. We require a signed copy of the enrollment agreement and a deposit of $1,500.00 to reserve a seat in the program.

MPI of Michigan Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex or handicap in the administration of educational policies, financial aid, employment or other programs and activities.

Tuition Refund Policy

Student is entitled to a full refund of all tuition and fees, less application fee, if student is rejected by the school before enrollment and/or up to three (3) business days after signing the enrollment agreement if student requests such refund. Should (3) business days pass and the school year has begun without a refund request the following refund policy shall be enacted:

Student is entitled to a full refund less security deposit and application fee up until the end of the first week of classes. Student is entitled to a seventy-five percent (75%) refund up to last day of the third week of class, fifty percent (50%) refund up to the last day of the fifth week of class. No refunds will be given after the last day of the first semester of classes. Due to limited seating in the program, students who sign the enrollment agreement and then wish to withdraw after the first semester of classes are still responsible for the entire tuition.

In the event of student’s prolonged illness, accident, death in the family or other circumstances that make completion of the program impossible or impractical, the school attempts to make a fair and reasonable settlement. All refunds are made within 30 days upon receipt of a cancellation notice.

If a student receiving veterans' benefits fails to enter a course, withdraws, or is discontinued at any time prior to completion, the refund of advanced payments will be an appropriate pro-rated portion of the charges for registration (less $10), tuition, and other charges based on the length of the completed portion of the program in relation to the program's total length.

If I am accepted I agree to abide by all of the policies of the school and authorize the use of my likeness, performance, appearance, voice and name in connection with the operation and promotion of MPI of Michigan Inc. I understand that if any of the information put forth in this document is proved to be untrue, inaccurate or incomplete, MPI can deny enrollment to the institute.
