number of MPI graduates have moved out west to work on films such
as “Collateral” starring Tom Cruise or have found employment
with LA production companies such as Sanford, Pilsner, and Beacon
Communications (“Lovefield”, “Remains of the Day”).
Commercial advertising agencies like J. Walter Thompson, W.B. Doner,
Young & Rubican and Dawber have also employed MPI graduates
on numerous commercial productions.
Many students have taken the relationships developed at MPI and
have gone on to form their own production companies to shoot independent
films. There are many career paths into the motion picture industry
and you can begin yours at The Motion Picture Institute of Michigan.
